Military Air Traffic Contoller Phraseology

Ever wonder what that gibberish spoken between pilots and air traffic controllers means? They're speaking English, but to the untrained ear it sounds like another language. This standardized "language" allows ATC to effectively communicate with pilots. Senior Airman Trevor Sachs, 49th Operations Support Squadron, an air traffic controller at Holloman Air Base, gives a brief lesson in air traffic control phraseology. Filmed on September 1, 2016.
