North Korea (NK) threatened to launch a nuclear strike at Guam in August 2017. After thinking about it longer, the NK leadership realized U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers would be in the air, able to retaliate and decimate Pyongyang. So the NK leadership decided to abort the ill conceived plan of nuking Guam. USAF B-1B unit from Andersen Air force Base, 37th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD.
