Australian, ANA and U.S. Army snipers training on their weapons in a training range.

Other sniper rifles have been fired during this training session, like the XM2010 rifle. The M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle ESR , also known as M24 RSWS (reconfigured Sniper Weapon System) is a sniper rifle developed by PEO Soldier in the Army of the United States.

It comes from the well-known rifle M24 SWS (Sniper Weapon System) and was developed just a substitute for such a weapon.

After winning a competition, Remington Arms was awarded the production contract for the weapon. The manufacturer will procure 3,600 rifles.

The most significant change in the passage between M24 and M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle is the conversion from 7.62 × 51 mm NATO to the more powerful .300 Winchester Magnum, which allows an increase in the range of over 50%.
